FacilitiesHire is currently free for both customers and suppliers as we build our platform and community. In the future, we may introduce optional premium features for suppliers, but our core directory service will always remain free for customers. We never take commissions on bookings.

Who are your suppliers?

All suppliers on FacilitiesHire are thoroughly vetted, UK-registered businesses with appropriate insurance, licences, and trading history. We verify their credentials, check customer references, and ensure they meet our quality standards before listing them on our platform.

Is FacilitiesHire available across the UK?

Currently, FacilitiesHire focuses on England with over 500 verified suppliers across all regions. We're working on expanding to Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. If you're looking for suppliers in these areas, please contact us and we'll do our best to help.

How do I request quotes?

You have two options:

  1. Contact suppliers directly from their profile pages via phone or email
  2. Submit one quote request form and receive multiple quotes from matched suppliers within 24 hours (coming soon)

Is it free to use FacilitiesHire?

Yes, FacilitiesHire is 100% free for customers. There are no hidden fees, subscription costs, or commissions. You browse suppliers, request quotes, and make bookings completely free. You only pay the supplier directly for their services.

How long does it take to get quotes?

Most suppliers respond within 24 hours, with many getting back to you even faster. Response times may vary depending on supplier availability and the complexity of your requirements. For urgent requests, we recommend calling suppliers directly during business hours.

Can I contact suppliers directly?

Yes, absolutely! Every supplier profile includes their direct contact details (phone and email). You're free to contact them directly to discuss your requirements, ask questions, and negotiate pricing. We believe in transparency and direct communication.

What if I need to cancel my booking?

Cancellation policies vary by supplier and should be discussed when you make your booking. Most suppliers have flexible cancellation terms if you give sufficient notice. Contact your supplier directly as soon as possible to discuss cancellation or rescheduling.

Do you guarantee supplier quality?

We thoroughly vet all suppliers before listing them, checking insurance, licences, and references. However, the contract is directly between you and the supplier. We recommend reading reviews, comparing multiple suppliers, and discussing your specific requirements before booking.

Is there a cost to list my business?

No, listing your business on FacilitiesHire is currently completely free. There are no setup fees, monthly subscriptions, or commissions on bookings. We're building our platform and want to help quality suppliers grow their businesses. Early adopters will receive lifetime benefits when we introduce premium features.

How do customers find my listing?

Customers search by location, facility type, and dates. Your listing appears when you match their criteria. Rankings are based on distance, availability, reviews, and profile completeness. Maintain an up-to-date profile with photos and positive reviews to increase visibility.

Can I respond to quote requests?

Yes! When customers submit quote requests that match your services and location, you'll receive an email notification with their requirements. You can then contact them directly with your quote. The quote request feature is coming soon—currently customers contact suppliers directly from profile pages.

How do I update my business information?

Supplier dashboards are coming soon. In the meantime, please contact our support team to update your listing details, photos, service areas, or any other information. We'll process updates within 24 hours.

Are there any hidden fees?

No, absolutely not. FacilitiesHire is completely free for customers and doesn't add any fees or commissions to supplier quotes. The price you see from the supplier is what you pay—directly to them. We believe in complete transparency.

Why are prices different between suppliers?

Pricing varies based on several factors:

  • Quality and specification of equipment (standard vs. luxury)
  • Distance from supplier base to your location
  • Duration of hire and season demand
  • Additional services included (cleaning, servicing, attendants)
  • Supplier overheads and business model

How far in advance should I book?

We recommend booking as early as possible, especially for peak seasons (spring/summer) and weekends. For standard requirements, 2-4 weeks notice is usually sufficient. For large events, luxury facilities, or peak dates, book 2-3 months ahead. Many suppliers can accommodate last-minute bookings for standard units.

Do suppliers deliver nationwide?

Most suppliers have defined service areas, typically within 50-100 miles of their base. Some larger suppliers offer nationwide coverage. Check each supplier's profile for their coverage area, or use our location search to find suppliers who serve your area.

What happens if a supplier cancels?

Supplier cancellations are extremely rare as all our suppliers are professionals committed to their bookings. If a supplier must cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, they should arrange a replacement or full refund. Contact us immediately if you experience any issues and we'll help resolve the situation.

Can I extend my rental period?

Yes, most suppliers can extend your rental if you need facilities for longer than originally booked. Contact your supplier as soon as possible to check availability and arrange the extension. Additional charges will apply based on the extended duration.

What if equipment is damaged?

Most suppliers include reasonable wear and tear in their pricing. Damage beyond normal use may incur additional charges. Review the supplier's terms and conditions when booking, and report any pre-existing damage when equipment is delivered. Consider asking about damage waiver options if available.
